2019 Shows

Not having entered any shows so far this year I entered two fleeces in Colourbration with great success.  Tahara Adair (medium fawn) and Tahara Omari (roan) both came away with champion ribbons.  They were both entered in the Bendigo Fleece Show and achieved wuccess.  Adair came 3rd in a very strong field and Omari was again a Champion.

Melbourne Royal 2019 judged by Peruvian judge, Dr Rito Huayta, was successful for Tahara’s two entries in the suri classes.  Tahara Phineas was Champion Adult male in the 18 to 30 months class and Tahara Zeke was 3rd in a stron class.

The weekend after Melbourne Royal was Seymour ShowTahara Phineas and Tahara Zeke were again successful both being awarded Championship in their respective classes.

2016 National Show

  • Congratulations to Baarrooka Bamboo Blonde (a Tahara Nitere progeny) for being awarded Champion Suri Fleece in the 6-18 months category.  He was also awarded best light fawn.
  • Congratulations also to Tahara Phoebus and Tahara Praxedes for their 2nd and 3rd placings in the 6-18 months white suri fleece.  This placed Tahara Zabar ET 2nd in the Sires Progeny Fleece competition.

Tahara Phaedra Intermediate Champion White Suri female. Tahara Nitere was awarded first in his Intermedite Medium Fawn Class and Reserve Champion. Alkumi was first in the White 18-30month fleece.

Ballarat Ag Show Results

Ballarat Ag Show Phaedra Intermediate White Champion with Nitere being Intermediate Medium Fawn Champion and going on to be Supreme Champion.

VRC Awards Night

At the recent VCR Awards Night Tahara Alkumi was awarded VCR Suri Alpacaq for 2011. Congratulations Alkumi for being awarded VCR Suri Alpaca of the Year two years in a row.
